Heritage CSCS Cards

CSCS cards are available for 375 different trades within the construction sector (and counting!) CSCS cards help workers prove they are competent to do their job and that they have health and safety awareness.

The Facts

  • CSCS cards use NVQ levels as standards.
  • The cards for all occupations at L3 are GOLD coloured.
  • Heritage CSCS cards are GOLD because they are only available at Level 3 as there is currently only a L3 NVQ available for Heritage Crafts.
  • To apply for the card a valid Health & Safety Test must be held.  A new one will have to be taken if it is more than two years old (even though they are valid for 5 years - an H&S test currently costs £17.50)
  • Cost of the application is currently £30.  It must be renewed every five years, when another administrative fee (currently £30) will be required.
  • Application forms can be obtained from www.cscs.uk.com.
