Contractors Event for September

Hi everyone - we will be organising an event for construction contractors in September, kindly funded by SSCLLN. The event will inform contractors about the Heritage NVQ, Heritage CSCS card, funding available to support training and hopefully some craft demonstrations where delegates can 'have a go'. We will be using the Action Group meeting on the 30th April to start planning the event. It will be held in Lincs, Leics or Northants - has anyone got any good ideas on possible venues? A room to fit 50 people in and the prospect of looking round a building either being renovated or in need of renovation but safe to tour, with professionals and contractors available to discuss heritage matters...

Bolsover Castle coule be a possibility, though whether there meeting room could take 50 - not sure. We've done some work there recently, so could look at that. I'd need to ask EH obviously, and can test the waters if you like?

Bolsover could well be a great location, but for this particular event we have to look at Lins, Leics or Northants due to the source of the funding. I will however be looking to gain funding to run something in Derbyshire/Notts, so would be pleased for you to make initial enquiries. I wonder if anyone else has any suggestions or whether it's just you and me Simon, that are using this forum??

How about Lincoln Castle, somebody from their management commitee ( not sure who the lady was Cathie? ) came to the breakfast meeting at Bishop Grossteste, so it might be an option?
