Awards 2009

The EMCBE is delighted to announce the second East Midlands Regional Construction Awards. With support from the East Midlands Development Agency (emda), the EMCBE aims to recognise and reward innovation, skills and training, and sustainability in constructon, across the region. 

The winners from within each region will go forward to a national final that will take place in November 2009.

Please take some time to consider which category you wish submit an entry for:

• skills and training
• infrastructure
• environmental / sustainability award
• innovation business award
• heritage award
• contractor of the year
• small business of the year
• client of the year
• project of the year

Submissions should relate to either ongoing work or any project or example of organisational change that will be completed by 28 August 2009.

All entries will be considered by an independent panel of judges.

Celebration Dinner

This year we have booked the unique Derby Roundhouse for the celebrations.  Located next to Derby Railway Station, the buildings were previously part of the East Midlands' thriving railway business. The existing buildings incorporate a Grade II listed building (the Roundhouse where the celebrations will take place) which served as a circular locomotive and rolling stock repair shed. Attached to and integral with the Roundhouse is The Carriage Shop, which we will be using for the reception, which as the name suggests, was primarily used for the manufacture and repair of railway carriages.
