We have been liaising with Derby College, and on the evening after our awards, Friday, 16th October, the Roundhouse are hosting a Charity Ball in aide of Lewis Mighty, a local boy aged 4 who suffers from a rare form of cancer called neuroblastma, and although Lewis is undergoing chemotherapy he only has a 20% chance of survival. However, there is a treatment available in America which will give him an 80% chance of recovery.
The purpose of the Charity Ball is to raise money for Lewis to go to America to receive this life saving treatment. EMCBE have therefore decided to adopt Lewis as our charity for the awards night and as such we will be inviting a representative from the fund raising organisation to make a small presentation and to do the raffle prize draw, all proceeds of which will be donated to Lewis.
