Welcome to the Constructing Excellence awards page.  This year eight regions will be hosting regional awards ceremonies to celebrate the best of construction from their local industries.  The winners from within each region will go forward to a national final that will take place on 13th November 2008 at Lords Cricket Ground Pavilion, St John's Wood, London NW8 8QN.

The inaugural East Midlands Regional Awards ceremony will be celebrated on the evening of 14^th October 2008 at the East Midlands Conference Centre, Nottingham. 

In total 68 entries were received across the Award categories.  The entries are of a very high standard making the judging process extremely difficult and, having worked hard to evaluate the submissions across very stringent criteria, the judges have arrived at an impressive shortlist of projects from across the East Midlands region, which include: educational facilities; housing projects; sporting venues; significant regeneration landmarks; hospitals and highway programmes.

As a result, the evening has attracted a high level of interest resulting in 75% of the tables being reserved to date.  As we progress into the promotional phase of the planned celebrations, the EMCBE is endeavouring to ensure that invitations are addressed to recognised regional industry leaders, together with public sector representatives to ensure they do not miss the event.

Members of each applicant business have been invited to the celebrations, offering a wonderful opportunity for the chosen Award winners to thank colleagues for their contribution to successful projects.
