Description

The awards, sponsored by North West Regional Development Agency, will celebrate the construction industry in the region and showcase the best and most innovative construction projects and working practices in the North West.
Clients and Constructors, alike, are invited to submit projects and processes that demonstrate some or all of the innovations advocated by the Rethinking Construction agenda, the Regional Economic Strategy and Constructing Excellence to CCI for inclusion in the Awards process.
A select panel of judges, made up from eminent regional and sub-regional clients and construction professionals, will judge entrants under a number of key headlines, including, Fair Payments, Partnering & Integrated Teams, Cross-Authority Collaboration, Sustainable Construction/Development, Sustainability Training for Sustainable Communities, Increasing Innovation in the Supply of New Homes/Improving Existing Housing Stock, Modern Methods of Construction, Corporate Social Responsibility and Health & Safety.
Awards will be given under the five NWDA Regional Economic Strategy headline themes: -
NW Business Award (e.g. develop resource efficiency, sustainable procurement and corporate social responsibility)
NW Skills and Education Award (e.g. Invest in workforce development, develop leadership, management and enterprise skills)
NW People and Jobs Award (e.g. Stimulate economic activity in areas remote from growth)
NW Infrastructure Award (e.g. Create a high quality and diverse housing stock, Reduce areas of housing market failure)
NW Quality of Life Award (e.g. Support cleaner, safer, greener communities, Develop community cohesion)
Five Constructing Excellence Best Practice Club Awards will also be given to the sub-regional Projects of the Year and these will be judged by the regional Best Practice Club Network, including the Clubs in Merseyside, Cheshire, Warrington & Wirral, Manchester, Lancashire and Cumbria.
