| Description | A series of free events designed to support and enable the sustainable refurbishment of existing buildings in the East MidlandsThe refurbishment of existing buildings is a crucial yet often neglected subject within sustainable architecture with attention more focused on new buildings. Many older buildings waste large amounts of energy and provide poor internal conditions for their occupants. The ‘Green Futures’ project, an East Midlands Development Agency (emda) funded initiative, has been specifically developed to engage with a broad range of the market, expanding the knowledge of sustainable development in existing buildings and increasing implementation across the region. This series of events will demonstrate the commercial business case for sustainability, supported by local examples, and provide attendees with the knowledge and tools to make it possible. Why attend?
