2012 Construction Commitments - A winning Business Strategy

The construction industry turnover is £110b per year. A significant industry in its own right employing over 2 million people and accounting for 10% of GDP. The East Midlands has over 14, 000 SME in operation across the region and some of the largest contraction business in the United Kingdom based in the region. 

The industry faces many challenges and not least the way clients invest and procure the projects. The industry for the first time with Government and Clients both public and private are signing a land mark commitment to improve the standards of the construction industry. 

The Construction Commitments are a list of aspiration we are encouraging organisations to commit and deliver their construction project to. The commitments are a collection of leadership statements providing vision to clients and industry that are backed by the Construction Minister, industry and the local community.
